Insert taps are used only when installing Wire Thread Inserts
Made to an ISO standard so can be used with any brand of Wire Thread Inserts

HSS Insert Taps should only to be used in conjunction with Thread Inserts
Hand or machine tapping for through holes and blind holes where ample chip clearance is available
The lead chamfer permits easier starting and requires less tapping torque than bottoming taps
